Denise Roper

Denise Roper is the author of The Lord of the Hallows: Christian Symbolism and Themes in J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter, which was published by Outskirts Press in July 2009. Ms. Roper has been a guest speaker on the deeper meaning of J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series at numerous science fiction and fantasy conventions, including Babel Con in Baton Rouge, Con du Lac in Lake Charles, the Harry Potter symposia Portus 2008 in Dallas, TX, and Azkatraz 2009 in San Francisco, CA. Denise will also be a presenter at the upcoming Infinitus 2010 Harry Potter symposium in Orlando, FL, Con du Lac II in Lake Charles, and Imagicon in Birmingham, AL. She is a member of the Mythopoeic Society, an organization of scholars and fans devoted to the study of the works of C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien, and Charles Williams. M. B. Weston

Author M. B. Weston is one of the fantasy genre’s new, emerging voices. The Elysian Chronicles, her fantasy series about guardian angel warfare and treason, has been referred to as, “…filling a big part of the void that will be left by the final Harry Potter,” by award-winning author, Vincent O’Neil. The first book in the series, A Prophecy Forgotten, was published in March 2007, and its sequel, Out of the Shadows, is slated for release in early 2009. The Elysian Chronicles is also being adapted into a graphic novel series by Wandering Sage Press, Inc., with M. B. Weston penning the script and KISS comic book artist, Adam Black, doing the art. A Prophecy Forgotten: The Graphic Novel is slated for publication in 2009.
Weston is known as a gifted orator and has been invited as a speaker at writers conference workshops and panels, classrooms, and science fiction & fantasy conventions about the craft of writing and the process of getting published. Weston is also a radio talk show host for The Final Cut in Movies, the show that puts science fiction and fantasy movies center stage, with Ad Astra Radio, an internet science fiction and fantasy talk radio station. The Final Cut in Movies can also be downloaded as a podcast on iTunes.

D.B. Grady

D.B. Grady is a graduate of Louisiana State University and lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with his wife and family. Grady is a former paratrooper with U.S. Army Special Operations Command and is a veteran of Afghanistan. His work has appeared everywhere from Boys' Life to The Atlantic, where he is a regular contributor, and his debut sci-fi novel, RED PLANET NOIR, won the 2010 Indie Book Award for Science Fiction. Craig Callais
Craig is finishing up the sequel to his first novel, Warlord: The Ordeal, as well as working on a third in the series. Craig grew up in Houma, La reading the works of L. Ron Herbert and Michael Crichton. He attends Nichols University and is majoring in Computer Science. He spends most of his spare time writing and raising his son Corbin.
