Kurt Amacker

Kurt Amacker rose, fully formed, out of the nether realms of New Orleans in 1980. The place hasn’t been quite right since. He graduated from Loyola University in 2002 and had a brief stint with the Marine Corps that ended honorably in 2004. During that time, he began work on his first comic miniseries—a bit of supernatural-noir-pulp called
Dead Souls, which has garnered praise from the likes of Alan Moore and Dani Filth of Cradle of Filth. Amacker continues to write comics for Seraphemera Books, with his newest project
Immortal: 60 just launched. He also freelances for Mania.com, and had a stint as a Goth club DJ and concert promoter that went on far too long. He will have a feature in the December issue of Alan Moore's magazine
Dodgem Logic. The trade paperback collection of
Dead Souls will be released in February. He lives in New Orleans with his wife, Sabrina.
