Fan Groups

redstick

Founded in 2005, the Red Stick Rebellion is a local non-profit organization founded to bring local Star Wars enthusiasts together. Although we are based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, we have members all across south Louisiana. The group started as a place for members to discuss different aspects of Star Wars collecting at our monthly meeting – held on the second Saturday of each month – and we encourage anyone with an interesting in Star Wars collecting to attend.

As we have grown in membership the Red Stick Rebellion has found ways to give back to the community by sharing the joy that Star Wars has given to the child in us all. We attend many local events including charity events, fundraisers and conventions where we work with the Louisiana branch of the 501st costuming group, the Bast Alpha Garrison, and the Rebel Legion. Each year we also have an Annual Costume Fan Day and Toy Drive event. Costume Fan Day is a free event held at the Jones Creek Library where kids can compete in LEGO building, trivia, art, costume contents and more. Our annual Toy Drives have helped raise more than $5,500 in toys – all of which were donated to local charities during the Christmas season.

501st

The Bast Alpha Garrison is the Louisiana subdivision of the 501st Legion, "The World’s Definitive Imperial Costuming Organization" featuring the “bad guys” from the Star Wars Universe. The 501st Legion has over 4000 members from all 50 states and 22 countries around the world.

"The Legion is a volunteer club formed for the express purpose of bringing together costume enthusiasts and giving them a collective identity within which to operate. The Legion's aims are to celebrate the Star Wars movies through the wearing of costumes, to promote the quality and improvement of costumes and props, and most importantly, to contribute to the local community through charity and volunteer work."

It is our goal to bring positive attention to these and other charities and put smiles on the faces of children and adults alike through their love for the Star Wars universe.    For more information about joining the 501st Legion or to request an appearance of the 501st Legion, please go to www.501st.com.

LSPR-Society is a team of Paranormal Investigators whose primary goal is to document, and hopefully, someday scientifically prove the existence of ghosts. We also strive to educate the public and help those who live with a haunting to deal with their fears and experiences. Although we do not discredit the use of psychics, we use both simple and high-tech electronic equipment to document and substantiate our experiences without using Ouija boards, conduct séances, or divination.
We investigate both public places and private residences. The members of our group are professional-minded adults who believe that skepticism is healthy, and that all reasonable explanations should be ruled out prior to declaring an experience to be paranormal in nature. Our main branch is based in Lafayette, La., and we take mainly Louisiana based locations.  If you know of a haunted site that you would like to suggest to us, or if you live in a house which you believe might be haunted, please goto our website at www.lspr-society.com and send us your contact information. We will contact you shortly to discuss the activities, and make an appointment to meet with you.

We are the crew of the Imperial Klingon Vessel Bayou Serpent,a proud and loyal ship of the Klingon Assault Group. We are based out of the West Monroe area of Louisiana and we are the only ship in the northern part of the state. We are extremely active, whether it be competing in bat'leth tournaments, paintball wars, charity events, conventions, parades,or just intimidating the mundane people of Terra Firma. Think you have what it takes to be Klingon? If not,we also accept other races, even from other sci-fi series...just no humans! No "fantasy" characters either! We are always looking for new members and new events to conquer.

We have been around since 1998 when one KAG member got his closest friends together to form the ship. From there the club took off. We have been featured on many television shows both locally and nationally, along with radio and newspaper articles. Our pursuit of glory has no limits!  Interested? We will help you along your journey of becoming Klingon by helping with your uniform and ridges but bring your own attitude. We are also looking for ACTIVE members! If you're content to be a name on a website then go buy a set of pajamas and join a feddie club!  If you still think you have what it takes we would be honored to call you one of our own. You may hail Cmdr Ri'Par at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . If you'd just like to plan an event or appearance with us then that's fine too, just know that we do it in uniform.  May your enemies blood break over your boots as an ocean. Qapla!
