BayouCon Code of Conduct For All Attendees:
Please help make BayouCon a great convention for everyone by abiding by a few rules. Thank you!
-
A badge is required to be worn at all times above the waist where we can see it. It will be required to attend any convention function.
-
Alcoholic beverages are prohibited for anyone under the age of 21. If caught, you will be expelled from the convention without any refund.
-
Guests, events, and schedule is subject to change without notice. Please refer to the website, Facebook, or convention staff for details.
-
Please don’t act like a Ferengi. In other words, please keep offensive behavior at home or in your hotel room.
-
We are not responsible for lost, stolen, taken, vaporized, or disintegrated items. You can cry on our shoulder if you like, but it won’t help. Please keep an eye on your belongings.
-
We reserve the right to ask you to leave the convention and refuse to refund your membership money. Please be courteous to all convention attendees, panelists, staff members, and guests.
-
BayouCon is a smoke free facility. Smoking is prohibited by the entrance door as well. Food and drinks are prohibited from the Dealer’s Area and in the Video Gaming rooms.
-
Weapons policy: All weapons must be non-working and peace bonded. No functioning projectile weapons – including water pistols, silly-string guns, and ping-pong pistols. Absolutely no air soft guns will be allowed in the convention. Any gun related weapon must have an orange safety tip. Bladed weapons must be cased or sheathed at all times. No clowning around or showing off in the common areas. Any weapon used in an offensive manner will be confiscated. We expect you to use good judgment; with your help, we can continue to allow peace-bonded weapons. PLEASE CHECK ALL WEAPONS WITH THE REGISTRATION TABLE. Security staff, hotel security, and local law enforcement officials will treat anything that looks like a real gun as a real gun. We do not post bail.
-
Please do not abuse our hotels or convention facilities. This includes putting signs on walls. Public locations for notices are provided. You are personally responsible of you damage a video game system, peripheral, or anything else related to said game.
-
Costumers remember that no costume is NO costume. Please wear appropriate (or at least enough) clothing in the common areas.
-
By attending BayouCon you agree to allow us to use your likeness in future promotions or advertising of this event. This may include print, television, social media, and website usage.
-
Unless specified, please take as many photos and video clips as you like. However, use of said clips for commercial gain is strictly prohibited.
Please abide by the above rules and a good time will be had by all!
